M.AD is the most awarded creative school with instructors from the world's top advertising agencies. Surprisingly, they didn't talk about it! While transitioning to their new branding, I helped define a tone of voice, set a visual language, and creative content for internal marketing, events, and social media.
Grabbing attention with animation
We needed a way to promote events (in this case, a Hackathon) without any prior footage and with tight deadlines. I pitched the idea to use animations as a way to grab attention of our busy students and create hype within the industry. Good news, it worked wonders and we were asked to develop content plans for the other M.AD School of Ideas international locations.
Pivoting the Instagram Strategy
Through data reporting and social listening, I quickly realized Instagram wasn't just for "everyone and everything" and that M.AD had distinct audiences on each social channel.
Instagram happened to be the hub for students (potential, current, and alumni) so I pivoted the social strategy to center around inspiring students through quotes, advice, student work, and gamification.
